Dan Bishop
is currently Music Department Chair, and Director of the Performing Arts Academy at Clovis East High School, at the Reagan Educational Center, in Clovis California. Dan served as a vocal/instrumental music educator at Immanuel High School in Reedley, Washington Intermediate in Dinuba, Madera High School, and as an adjunct instructor at CSU-Fresno. Dan has served as Minister of Music at the Kingsburg E.V. Free Church, Kingsburg Community Church, and Music Director of the University Presbyterian Church in Fresno. At Clovis East Dan has directed the marching band, concert band, orchestra, choirs, and taught the AP Music Theory class. His current assignment is full time choral music (6 choirs) and AP music theory as well as administration / coordination of the CEHS Performing Arts Academy.

Dan is owner of DYNAMIC XPRESSIONS, a music services studio specializing in private voice, piano, guitar, and wind instrumental instruction as well as a digital audio / video production house. DX also specializes in artist / speaker management and development.

As a student, Dan was a four-time National Association of Teachers of Singing Mid-West Regional finalist, (N.A.T.S.), and has appeared with many area choirs and orchestras as a soloist and conductor. Dan has numerous Oratorio and Cantata experience as both a Baritone and Tenor Soloist, and has been an active church musician/soloist/conductor for the past 20 years. Voice Teachers include: Dr. Wes Loewen, Dr. Norman Abelson, Dr. Paul Sommers, and Dallas Draper.

Dan received his BA in vocal and instrumental music education from Tabor College, in Hillsboro, Kansas and his Master's degree from the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri, at Kansas City where he was a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Vocal Performance. He has done post-graduate work at Fresno Pacific University and California State University - Fresno. Dan is married to the incredibly talented choral director / pianist Heather Bishop, and has three children: Ben, Becca, and Willy.
